Eagles' Wings Girls

FREE SUMMER CAMP INCENTIVES

Want to come to summer camp but can’t afford it right now? Does it seem as though, “you finally find something that you know will interest your daughter and yet financially it is not possible”?   We understand. Times are so tough for everyone. There is no extra money for special things and for special wants.

Even with our failing economy, young people still need their own creative outlets to learn about life in a beautiful way. Learning about life entails good experiences as well as not so good ones. At Eagles’ Wings, we are feeling the “money crunch” the same as everyone else is, but we would feel an even greater void if we were not helping girls find themselves and God through the love of horses. At all costs, we want to work with your daughter and we have several ways of making her dreams come true and allowing her to have the summer of her life by providing the following incentives:

Work Scholarship Program (WSP)
Fundraising Sponsorship Sheet
Blazing Saddles Trail Ride

WSP + Fundraising Sponsorship Sheet = FREE CAMP

WORK SCHOLARSIP PROGRAM (WSP)

For a limited time & space only:  This program offers anywhere from 20-35% work scholarships to any girl that desires to be a part of our programs. Everyone knows that unless you work for something you really want – you really don’t want it. It is the age old philosophy that has helped establish our country.

All during the month of April and May 2011 we will have “work Saturdays” scheduled to get a lot of stuff done. When your daughter comes out and works – she gets hours towards her “work scholarship grant”. She then applies those hours worked to the program of her choice – that coupled with the minimum payment will give her the funding she needs to attend camps, wilderness weekends or adopt a horse. Work hours will be equivalent to $6.00 hour wage. These hours will not be converted to real money – it will only apply toward grant money for her camp. Below is an outline of how it works:

Rules, Requirements and other information for WSP:

  1. WSP hours must be completed before the date of your summer camp.
  2. Minimum reservation fee of $65 must accompany the application and all fees are due on the day of camp.
  3. All full paying applicants will receive camp choice over grant applicants.
  4. All WSP applicants are able to purchase tee shirt (if desired) for a minimal fee.
  5. Upon occassion some family members can help with the hours if they would like to and are 11 years of age or older.  (*some restrictions apply)
  6. Work hours will be scheduled through the office and applicants are expected to be at their scheduled dates on time and ready to work.
  7. During work days – there is no scheduled time to be with horses, except at lunchtime. There will be plenty of time to “get to know your horse” when you attend our programs.
  8. Applicants are required to bring their own lunch, snacks and drink.
  9. Parents can stay and help but if not are expected to pick up daughter by quitting time.
  10. Girls are required to bring work gloves and wear old, work clothes and shoes. (do not wear anything that could and possibly will get ruined) it is also suggested that you bring sunblock, a hat and have your hair pulled back. Make sure you have what you need for whatever your situation is – this includes medications (which must be kept in original container) If it is fundraising, then girls are expected to dress appropriately to greet the public.
  11. Working on a ranch will require “work” it is not easy – and we will expect that you will do your very best in whatever the task is. (We have no problem addressing “slackers.”)  This also includes fundraising events -- girls must pull their own weight.
  12. Any teenage girl that is in high school and needs “community service hours” toward her graduation requirements can receive her hours through this program. *All she needs to do is let staff know and we will make sure that she receives her letter of credit hours to be submitted to her guidance counselor.
*We reserve the right to modify or change dates, rules, etc. to best fit our needs and the needs of our applicants.  This program has limited spacing and is on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS.

 CAMP FOR FREE

FUNDRAISING SPONSORSHIP SHEET

Do you realize that April is right around the corner? This is big news because that’s when our programs begin. Whatever suits you as a young rider we have available to you. Do you like to camp with horses? Great! Breakthroughs Wilderness Weekends are perfect for the adventurous teen. Would you like to own your own horse but don’t have the ability to pay the full expenses attached? We have a horse just for you – yours to love and ride – no having to buy tack, pay for vet bills or feed – riding arena and trails all for your pleasure. Adopt a horse offers a stress-free environment in which to own and love your own horse with just a small fee. Want to take lessons? Spring and Summer are the best times to learn how to really ride a horse – small classes with nominal fee.  How about a full week of day camp?   Horse Passion Summer Camps running in June and July introduce you to the incredible world of “horse whispering”. This awesome week long event teaches you communication techniques with just a gesture of your hand or simple touch you too can be “in the know” with the horse language.

Sound busy? Sound fun? It will be all of those things and we would like for you to be a part of each and every horse event we have. 2009 can be the summer of your life! Although our programs are relatively inexpensive – they can still be a burden to your family if things are tight. So we have come up with two ways for you to earn your Horse Passion summer camp week for “free.” You can even earn a Breakthroughs Wilderness Weekend  “free”  if you’re really motivated.

This is really easy for girls that don't have the time to do the WSP or don't want to do all the "ranch work" -- Here’s how it works:

Download a sponsor sheet with 20 lines on it. Each sponsorship varies from $5 on up. Make copies of the sponsor sheet if you need to.

Fill up the sheet and get the following events for free:

Horse Passion Summer Camp

$225.00 PER WEEK with an 11% discount = $200 for camp
Fill up the sheet (20 sponsors @ $10 a sponsor) you get the whole week for free!!
Or fill up two sponsor sheets at $5 each sponsor (40 sponsors @ $5) free camp!

Breakthroughs Wilderness Weekend – $150 value
30 sponsors @ $5 you get the weekend for free!

Where do you start? First, make a list of all your family members, friends’ parents, teachers, coaches, and neighbors – tell them about Eagles’ Wings and the money you are trying to raise – make sure they know their contribution is a tax deductible gift donation. You’ll be surprised how many people will help you out. And before you know it – you’re going to Horse camp for free – maybe even a Wilderness Weekend too.

Rules, Requirements and other information for sponsorship sheet:

  1. Download Sponsor sheet and print information clearly.
  2. A reservation fee of $65 must accompany Summer Camp Application.
  3. All money is to be turned into Eagles’ Wings before camp deadline.
  4. You can use the sponsorship sheet along with WSP if desired.
  5. All checks should be made out to Eagles’ Wings.

  10. No soliciting at public stores.
  11. We strongly suggest girls seek sponsorships through family, friends and neighbors.

  13. All camps are on a first come, first serve basis and the camps do fill up quickly so getting your application with reservation in ASAP is critical.
