5k Pony Run
Calling all runners!
Spring is fast approaching and Eagles' Wings will be having its 
very first 5k run to benefit our Equestrian Educational Facility, thanks to Herb Peddicord and his lovely daughter Bekah. Both are avid runners and have taken the bull by the horns to head up this brand new venture in hopes of raising awareness and money needed for the foundation of the indoor arena!
This event is held in conjunction with the Potomac Highlands Distance Club http://phdispatch.com
The route is being mapped out along the new Route 9 bike trail in Kearneysville, WV. Registration will begin at 8-8:45am at the VFW Post Picnic area right off of Route 9 in Kearneysville (right before the Opequon Creek Bridge and Nakeeta RV Park). Runners can either walk/run up to the starting line which is at the beginning of the bike path close to the ER jail. The 5k run heads east past the VFW picnic area all the way to Opequon Lane Connector and loops around to head west and finishes at the VFW picnic area. TIME: 9 am (registration begins from 8-8:45am)
FEE: $25 (with your $25 donation your name will be registered on our website as a donor for our Equestrian Educational Facility)
$5 Children's Pony Express Kid's Fun Run and Relay Race (additional $8 for tee shirt)
We welcome families as well as Walking mom's with strollers! Come join the fun and help our first annual run be a success as we raise money to build our equestrian educational facility.
